TropiDry meeting continued

First day wrap-up below

Saturday we spent the day discussing current research in the ACG and the way it fits into the air, water, and land categories around which the meeting was organized. Jennifer Powers gave a presentation on her group’s research in the ACG, and we visited the carbon flux tower and the water interception projects in order to understand the research conducted by Tropi-Dry (teams led by Arturo Sanchez and Julio Calvo, respectively).

Arturo Sanchez welcomes attendees to the Workshop

Sunday was spent in an attempt to synthesize this information, and to integrate it with the framework for information acquisition and management that iACG and the ACG have been working to develop over the last several years. Building on the results of past meetings (see here and here), we assembled a draft framework for linking ACG research needs to the ACG research agenda that we hope to incorporate in the upcoming plan de manejo for the ACG.
